Observations of children and adults:
Judging by my observations, defer from public and private places, most of the American children are educated in various ways.
In public, like in the restaurant or the market, American children tend to be quiet and polite. In their own spaces, they are given more freedom while they are not spoiled by their parents.
Ask older Americans Questions
From my survey, I have found out that American older people are quite different with older people in my country. For most of them, they are inclined to stay wherever we are right now after their retirements. They don’t depend on their children. As for the lives after the retirements, they want to relax a little bit through travelling while, they point out that they might also work as well as relax. Because the tedious retired lives are not exciting and they need the senses of fulfillments and also money.

I agree to you as American kids are well-mannered and obedient in someway. They respect their parents and seek for love. When their parents get mad, they started to cry as they know they did something wrong. They want parents' hug and love to feel better.
ReplyDeleteRetirement elderly like to grumble about everything. This is because they are so free and the only thing they can do is to complain about everything. Do you agree with me?
I think all elderly around the world have the same ideas about their life after retirement.
ReplyDeleteThey look forward to relax and travel but they need to work something to avoid boring feelings. They used to work many years ( in average forty years ) so it is difficult for them to stop working suddenly.
I agree with Eng Hwa at some point. What I want to add is that American Kids are more confident than those in my country. It's true because I experienced myself at the Children Center.
ReplyDelete@Rama: I agree with you. They can't stop and do nothing right away. Based on my observation, some may go for travel, and some may do something good for a community such as volunteers for religious events.
